Shopify Digital Solutions Strategist

As a Shopify Digital Solutions Strategist, you’ll lead the requirements gathering, implementation, and optimization of Shopify-based retail solutions that drive enterprise business growth and customer satisfaction. With deep expertise in Shopify+, Shopify B2B, POS, general retail operations, and public app integration and configuration, you’ll guide the delivery of scalable, high-performance Shopify+ solutions while ensuring seamless user experiences tailored to Shopify.

Responsibilities - You will:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success teams to understand customer needs and propose strategic solutions based on Shopify’s offerings.
  • Create technical documentation and scope documents for Shopify implementations.
  • Conduct sessions with customers to uncover business goals, technical requirements, and commerce pain points.
  • Define solution architecture and infrastructure design for scalable Shopify Plus implementations, leveraging native capabilities.
  • Advise customers on their App Ecosystem Strategy by evaluating and recommending third-party apps and integrations from the Shopify App Store to meet business requirements without over-customization.
  • Define strategies for product architecture, tagging, collections, metafields, and Shopify Markets.
  • Provide guidance on Shopify’s native features and integrations for omnichannel retail, email marketing, loyalty, and analytics.
  • Develop and communicate phased delivery plans that balance immediate business impact with long-term scalability on Shopify.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Provide direction and feedback to development teams and external vendors for seamless execution.
  • Collaborate during team activities, including sprint and project planning, development progress, and deliverables. 
  • Establish and enforce best practices for development, SEO, accessibility, and performance within the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Stay ahead of Shopify platform updates, trends, and partner ecosystem innovations.
  • Partner with Customer Success teams to create post-launch optimization solutions.

Ideally, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; certifications in Shopify and digital commerce platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Salesforce)
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or solution consulting within e-commerce or SaaS
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce ecosystems, APIs, and platform capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify (preferred) or similar platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Adobe Commerce
  • Proven ability to work with enterprise clients in retail, consumer goods, or DTC
  • Skilled in functional design, development, and implementation of Shopify Plus
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments

Compensation:

  • $90,000-$120,000 annually

This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in the U.S., with occasional travel required. Proximity to a major airport is preferred due to potential client visits.
